Meet the Manager Monday: Nikki Rodriquez!

We’re excited to spotlight the incredible Nikki Rodriquez in our Meet the Manager series! Nikki recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with PCC, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her on our team. Not only is she outstanding at her job, but she also goes above and beyond to support others.  She is always ready to answer questions and even created a training program for our Assistant Property Managers. Her professionalism, confidence, and dedication make her a true asset to our team and the company as a whole.

• What is the best part of working at PCC? 

  Everyone that I have met at this company seems to genuinely want to do the job well. I truly believe we offer the best third-party services in the industry.

  
  

• What part of working in the field of property management do you like most?

  The challenge. The experiences I have faced in Property Management have helped me manage tough situations in all other facets of my life. It’s helped me stay cool under pressure!

  
  

• Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

  I am a true ambivert. In new or unfamiliar situations I can be introverted, but once I am comfortable, the extrovert shows up.

  
  

• What are some things you like to do outside of work?

  Spending time with my family and our puppy Marty McFly, hitting the beach or singing karaoke. I also volunteer at the UCSD NICU every week as a Cuddler.

  
  

• Do you have a favorite quote or life motto?

  My life motto is – Aut viam inveniam aut faciam, which translates to “I will either find a way or make one.”

  
  

• What is a fun fact about you that people may not know?

  I worked as a third-party proposition player for California casinos for two years in my twenties, and am now terribly unlucky with gambling.

  
  

• Best advice you’ve ever received?

  Wise words from an old CEO – “Don’t focus on doing what you love. Focus on loving what you’re good at”

  
  

• What hobbies or activities bring you the most joy?

  I love music: singing, playing instruments and going to concerts with my husband. I have dreams of building a family band with my two daughters. Our first performance is tentatively scheduled for 2035.

  
  

• What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?

  An old mentor once wrote in a letter of reference that I was “all talent, no ego”

  
  

• What’s one goal or dream you’re working toward right now?

  Kicking off the Asset Management service division and obtaining a Director’s role.

  
  

• If you could meet any historical figure, who would it be and why?

  Jimi Hendrix, for a guitar lesson.

  
  

• Anything else you would like to share?

  My family and I love Halloween! Our house is a featured “haunted stop” for trick-or-treaters.
