Pacific Coast Commercial, located in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego, is currently seeking a Full-Time (40 hours/week) Property Accountant, Accounting Manager and Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager role is to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities of the accounting department. An overview of the responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information.


Accounting Manager Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

  • month and end-year process

  • accounts payable/receivable

  • general ledger, CAM reconciliations & budget process

  • payroll

  • lease administration

  • creating, documenting, and implementing policy and procedure for each area

  • evaluating current processes and software and keeping the department streamlined and up to date with technology.

  • Fielding employee and owner phone calls, emails & inquiries.

  • Evaluating staffing needs and workloads and offer suggestions for areas of improvement.

  • Other Duties

Accounting Manage Work Environment and Physical Demands

Accounting Manager Qualifications

Incumbents must demonstrate the ability to follow policies and procedures as established in Pacific Coast Commercial Employee Handbook. Incumbents will also contribute to a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a manner such that they get along with all constituent groups, co-workers, and management.


In addition, the education, experience, and other skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.



Accounting Manager Education

High School Diploma or GED required;

Bachelors degree in business administration - accounting or finance required;

Masters in business administration - management or accounting preferred



Accounting Manager Work Experience

At least two years of supervisory experience of at least 2 or more employees.


Accounting Manager Skill Set

  • Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures;

  • Knowledge of GAAP and its application

  • Knowledge of business and management principles.

  • Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines;

  • Team player


Accounting Equipment and Application

High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Working knowledge of all standard office equipment.

Job Type: Full-time


Accounting Manager Salary

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year




Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Accounts Receivable Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising accounts receivable staff.

  • Evaluating and improving existing practices & protocols by creating better efficiency and streamlining the collections and receivables processes.

  • Establishing and documenting all policies and procedures for the accounts receivable department.

  • Communicating with the property management team about collections, delinquencies, legal notices, and the expectations involved for both departments to ensure compliance with those requirements.

  • Assisting property managers with any questions they may have about tenant invoices, transaction history, and balances due.

  • Receiving, coding and entry of tenant rent payments.

  • Application of late fees

  • Using remote deposit machine to process deposits

  • Receiving calls from tenants inquiring about their balance due

  • Collection calls for delinquent payments

  • Tracking rent increases and sending monthly statements to tenants

  • Monthly reporting to property managers and property owners


Accounts Receivable Supervisor Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and at least 4 years of Accounts Receivable experience in the Property Management field required.

  • Accounting software (Rent Manager Software-A+) Preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Required; and

  • Working knowledge of all standard office equipment Required.

  • In addition: Must be a team player and can meet tight deadlines, experience working in a professional office setting, as well as exhibit a high level of confidentiality. Must be detail-orientated, have time management, organizational, written and oral communication, and problem-solving skills.


Accounts Receivable Supervisor Salary

Salary Range: starting $28-$30 per hour with comprehensive benefits package.
